BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Chicago Puppy Patrol's Board of Directors are annually-elected Members that maintain year-round business responsibilities for the club. The 5 roles consist of the President, the Vice President, the Treasurer, and 2 Board Members at Large. Each Board Member may handle multiple responsibilities (that exist outside of their primary role) which help us create a fun, friendly, and forward-thinking environment for fellow club Members and the greater communities. Excluding our numerous events, Board Members typically volunteer up to 10 hours toward club operations each week.

SPECIALTY DIRECTORS

Some of our club needs are better-performed by advisers that are familiar with a particular skillset. Directors are as-needed club officers that use their personal knowledge and skill set to help with tasks that are too significant for the Board’s schedule. Directors are selected by the current year’s Board and serve until they choose to resign or the Board no longer needs the position to exist.

VOLUNTEERS

Our Board of Directors and Sociality Directors can’t do it all! Volunteers are club Members that have been distinguished with upholding a welcoming spirit for the Chicago Puppy Patrol. While these individuals do not hold an officer status, they may serve on behalf of the club as directed by official club officers.

EMERITUS MEMBERS

“The Board Trustee Emeritus are considered non-voting, non-Executive, non-officer positions that function as an advisory position to the Board. They will be invited to Board Meetings as appropriate. ‘Luph’ and ‘Snuggles’ have served the Board with distinction and are deserving of the same distinction for their outstanding service. In recognition of their time, dedication and long-term interest in CPP, they shall have Board Trustee Emeritus status, which cannot be revoked without both sufficient cause and a unanimous vote of the Board, and each revocation must be considered in sole and separate fashion. Standard procedures for notice and right to speak as a Member applies.”
